Weather Project Info

Put all weather related information on this page!

What causes rain to fall--cooling air, holds less moisture, excess moisture is squeezed out of the air or condenses out of the air.

When does air cool--at night--evidence is morning dew

changing the altitude of air will change the temperature--as you go up in altitude it cools--air expands, has less pressure.

Topographic lifting--if wind hits a mountain--has to go up--as it goes up it cools, moisture condenses and rain forms.  On the other side of the mountain the dryer air loses altitude and heats up.  You end up with hot dry air and desert conditions.

     Low Pressure Systems--
